Fireworks

We kick off the United States‘ 4th of July/Independence Day weekend with our second video prompt. It’s a Schoolhouse Rock! video entitled “Fireworks”.  I used to love watching the Schoolhouse Rock! “commercials” as a kid.  They were catchy little ditties that taught us history, science, math, and grammar.  This one sings about fireworks as a tool for celebration, but also provides a short history lesson about the origin of Independence Day as celebrated in the U.S.  Watch the video, then write a little Flashy fiction inspired by the idea of fireworks or independence, or “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”.

Write something and share it!
